How These Notes Are Made

AI tools assist substantially with research, drafting and editing on this site. I remain responsible for what is published. The editorial standard is to distinguish documented personal experience, sourced reporting, opinion and clearly labeled illustration. AI-generated anecdotes are not evidence that an event occurred. Existing posts are being reviewed for unsupported claims, and unresolved accounts should not be relied on as verified case studies. Material corrections should explain what changed and when.

I write a lot about AI governance, data handling, and the gap between what AI tools can do and what’s actually safe to let them do unsupervised. It would be strange to write about that and then run this site the opposite way. So this page exists partly as a practical disclosure and partly as a stake in the ground: if I’m going to argue that AI needs review, sourcing discipline, and a human who’s accountable for the output, this site should visibly practice that — not just recommend it to other people.

Corrected September 10, 2026: replaced universal historical review and no-ghostwriting claims with a clearer AI-assistance disclosure and editorial standard.
