The Riordan Sailing Team made waves at this year’s Open House—literally bringing their sport to campus.
Front and center in the parking lot, the team showcased a full sailboat with its sail raised high, proudly displaying the iconic “R.” It was a bold and memorable way to introduce visitors to a program that’s as unique as it is exciting. Instead of just talking about sailing, the team gave prospective students and families a chance to see it up close and imagine themselves on the water.
Their booth, set up alongside the boat, featured photos, regatta highlights, and a glimpse into the day-to-day life of a student-athlete on the sailing team. From competitive races to team camaraderie, the display told a story of discipline, adventure, and community.
What stood out most was the team itself. Students were on hand to share their experiences, answer questions, and talk about what it means to be part of Riordan Sailing.
